Kill the connector -- so says the Trib

Pittsburgh Tuesday takes - PittsburghLIVE.com: "Kill the connector: The Federal Transit Administration is trying to determine if the Port Authority of Allegheny County is financially sound before it releases $290 million of the $363 million needed to build the North Shore Connector. The FTA also must determine if the mass-transit agency will be able to handle the additional operating costs. That's a no-brainer on both counts -- it isn't and it can't. The connector is a boondoggle. It's way past time to pull the plug.

Nods.
