Signed Transportation Bill

President Bush has signed a $268 billion transportation bill in hopes that it will spur economic growth. The funds will be used to pay for numerous projects throughout the country. Opponents say the 6,000 projects are merely pet projects for members of Congress.

There are a ton of pet projects in the plan.

The Prarie Highway is much like the Mon Valley Highway. It is to promise development. But, the two counties that it goes into are already the two fastest growing counties in Illinois.

More insights should be posted here about that bill, if possible.
