With my plan of holding retention votes for authority members, we'd see a lot more of this. Now, the authority members are silent because they only get scorn for speaking up. The board members are not accountable to the voters.
Pittsburgh Tuesday takes - PittsburghLIVE.com Dodaro gets it: Port Authority board member Jim Dodaro is taking his agency to task for doing stupid things. To wit, spending $24 million on a 2,200-space South Hills Village parking garage in Bethel Park that's parking only about 265 drivers. Hear! Hear!
